Hello, everyone, today in my last post I will give you my opinion about writing in blogs. Well I never was very interested in blogs before, but now that I had to work with one, I think is very funny and interesting, because you can give your opinions about some topic and the people read it. Is a very good method of expression in internet, you can say everything that you want to say, and also you can find ideas about a lot of topics, sometimes unusual, but funny.

One of the things that most I enjoyed to write was to talk about my city, Santiago, because is a topic that can give a lot of options to talk about, and there is much people that have different ideas about this city and the contrast is very big, and that make it very interesting. Another topic that I enjoyed much is this. I never had read about what people think about the blogs, and to talk about it can give me and idea about how much is accepted the blog as a method of expression in internet.

The blog of Lorena Urrutia was the blog that I read it more, because she is a very good friend and their ideas are little strangers, and also I think that she is a very crazy person and that is because I like to read her crazy ideas.

And finally I think to write a blog in English is a very good method to learn English, because you must think a way to give a grammatical order to your ideas, and also you always find new words to add to your own vocabulary. I have learned a lot using the blog, now I write faster and can think in English more faster, is a great tool to learn.

Las Meninas

Hello everyone, today I will be glad to talk you about my favourite piece of art. Well this is a very interesting topic for me, because I have share with an artist all my life; my father, and well I suppose that something of artist flows in my veins. After to think a lot to make my choice, my favourite piece of art is “Las Meninas” by Diego Velazquez. This is a painting of a Spanish artist, finished at year 1656. I saw it for first time the past year, and my father was the person that showed to me. He explains me what was behind the painting and I was startled. This painting represents the royal family of Felipe IV, and the principal character is “La infanta Margarita de Austria”. Why this painting is amazing for me? Because the technique that was used to pint it. If you can see the Painting very close, you will see that Diego Velazquez just use little strokes to give form to the characters, then you think, how with a so simple technique can make that effect so real?

On the other hand, there is another thing that impressive me. If you see the painting very carefully you will see that the men who is painting, and then you see the mirror behind the room, you can deduce that the men is Diego Velazquez and he is painting the Kings of Spain, because they are the persons that appear in the mirror. Of course you can give your own interpretation to the painting.

Santiago

Hello, this time I will talk you about the city where I live and where I was born, Santiago. Is the capital of Chile, it’s very big, it has a lot of citizens about six millions, it’s the most populated city of this country. The rhythm of life is very fast, and sometimes this can be a little stressing. It’s very difficult to talk about all the bad things that the city has, or about the goods, because it’s a very different city in many ways, but maybe a bad feature can be this, the differences; that exist in the society, the exclusion in the periphery, in the neighbours. The social exclusion it’s too big, and breach between rich and pours it’s abysmal, the people can watch this with their owns eyes, you can be walking in a street, and in one side you can see great houses, very luxuries and for the other side pour houses, very humble.

About the good things of the city, can be the touristic attractive that the city has, is a city full of history, because this was first city founded in Chile; has historical places like the Santa Lucia Hill, the Historical neighbours, and well have all the things that a modern city can have, distraction places, commerce, shops, etc. Personally the things that I prefer of the city are the parks and the open places.

I think this city would be a better place for live if the contamination decrease, because the smog is too many and can be bad for healthy.

The tips that I would give to tourist are, the Bellavista Street, a classical place for diversion in pubs, the Santa Lucia and San Cristobal Hills, to have a good panoramic of the city, the central market, to know a little about the traditions and well basically that.

Metal Horse

Hello everyone and happy New Year. Today I will talk about my animal in the Chinese zodiac, the horse. The horoscope says that the horse are very strength and animated, this is a quality that I’m agree because is corresponded with me, I’m a person very energy and always do things with the best disposition. I feel very strength. Also says that horses are outgoing, this sometimes is corresponded with me, it depend of the person with I’m treating, if the person seems to me a little reliable, I will be lees outgoing with him. And well it says that like me to be the center of attention, and this is not true, I prefer to have a low profile. The horoscope have right in that I’m a friendly person and with a good humour. Also says that horses are very healthy and that is true, I hardly ever fall sick, and many times this depends of my mood. I like a lot the free spaces; I don’t know is something I cannot explain but, I feel my spirit free. About my career says that the horses enjoy to interact with other people, and well yes, I like me a lot to work with other persons, but I hate the routine and spouse that is the reason for I’m studding geography, I believe that with this career i will travel, and know may places, that will be a very dynamic career. And about power? Says that the horses enjoy the power, I don’t know, doesn’t experiment yet. Finally about relationships say that horses are very spontaneous and that they give themselves fully, and that is true to the moment, but I hope to control this someday. Well I can say that the zodiac have right just in some aspects, but the person always can change to be like it wants to be.

Christmas

Hello every one, now I will tell you about my Christmas. As all the years I had spent Christmas at home, we never go to other places in Christmas. I share a dinner with my family, after go to the church. My grandfather stayed at home, and later we gather with my uncle, my parents my grandmother and my brother. We all help in the preparation of dinner, me and my brother were in charge of the table, my mother prepared the salad and my grandmother cooked the turkey. This was a very nice dinner; we all share, talk and laugh about a lot of things. I enjoyed very much to share with my family. After the dinner we waited the midnight and as is usual my parents, my brother and I Hided in a room, because my little brother still believe in Santa Claus and he thinks that he won’t come if he see us. Then at the twelve O’clock we go to open the presents. This year I give a present to all my family. And well, we spent a couple of hours talking and drinking champagne and cola de mono. This Christmas was a very great night full of happiness and good feelings.     

Las Cruces

There are many beaches in Chile that like very much, in La serena, my favourite Beach is la Herradura, but my most favourite beach is Las cruces, in the central coast. This is a very beautiful beach, but is inappropriate for a bath or swimming because the waves are very dangerous.  Is very good for relax and take a rest in the sand, I feel peaceful when I go there. And by the mornings I go out for running in the beach until Cartagena and then back. Is a very long trench and a good for exercise.  Also you can play in the sand volleyball and Sand tennis. Yes, you can take a bath to, but is forbidden and is your responsibility if you go to take a bath. Another good thing of this beach is that you can go to the video games for the nights, and the discos for dance. Also is near to other beaches  like Tabo, Quisco, Punta de Tralca, and Isla negra, and you can go there just taking a bus that will ride you there in a couple of minutes. I go every year to Las Cruces with my family, and sometimes with friends. You get there, taking a interregional Bus destination Cartagena in the Bus station of Santiago. This is my favourite beach, I go there since i was a child, and I always have fun there. But the sunset in this beach is the most beautiful sunset that I never seen.  

Fighting

Well my favorite out door activity is practice martial arts, from many years. I started with Tae Kwon Do, and in this discipline I have to kick a lot, that was great. Now I’m practicing kung Fu, and is much better than TKD. But the reason because martial arts like me so much, is because the students have to fight. Is very exciting to stand front to other person and try to predict his movements, how is going to react, what strategy can I use to win the combat, the tension to be fighting with someone that I don’t know, all the adrenalin, and of course for giving my soul to Win! They are to much feelings in short time, but when all is over, the happiness is indescribable. Is like to be released...

One on One

Hi to all, today I will talk about the person that I will choose to talk in a face to face situation.  And well this person would be Bruce Lee, my favourite martial artist. I would choose him because I want to know many things about the Kung fu style that he practiced, to have different points of view about this style. Bruce Lee was a great actor, he did many mart arts films and he also teaches all that his knowledge to his students, who later teach this knowledge to the world. The first question I will make him it would be, why did you learn wing chun and no other style of kung fu, do you think this is better than other styles?  The second question I will make it is, what kind of martial arts styles did you rescue to found Jeet kune Do, and why do you think that this make it better? And the last question is what do you think is the secret to be a good martial artist? And well, I think that this would be a very good conversation, very interesting to me, because I admire him a lot, and I will very graceful to learn a little more about Bruce Lee.

Traveling by the south

About my favorite travel, the one I choose is my first time when I travel to the south of Chile when I have 10 years. I was very little but, I remember almost everything. All started in the city of Chillan in the octave region of Bio Bio, when we went to see my family there. After that, we visited the “Salto el Laja” a great waterfall very famous and very beautiful, this was a very magic experience because a have never saw anything like that in my life. We stayed just one day in Salto el Laja, after that we travel to Puerto Montt, in the tenth region of “los lagos”. In this port we stayed on my uncle House, Patricio the brother of my mother. From this point we travel to many places, like “Lago todos los santos” a very beautiful lake under the Osorno Volcano, and we travel by ferry to the Chiloe Island, the Biggest Island in Chile after “tierra del fuego”. This was a place full of myths and legends, and beautiful landscapes. We also travel to Llanquihue Lake, in “Puerto Varas”. We Stayed around two weeks on south. In those weeks I saw landscapes that I will never foget. 

Facebook

Hello people, I hope you are well. Today I will talk about my favourite web site, and I hate to say it, but is facebook. I’m not a person who really visit to much an specific web site, because I tend to look for topics that interest me, and this leaves me to many different web sites with information about them, It could be said that I’m a kind of searcher and for this reason I don’t have an specific favourite web site. But because now I’m obliged to choose for one, facebook it seems to be the first option. Why? Because is the site that more frequently I visit. I discovered a long time ago, in my secondary school, when most of my classmates started to use it. In first place I refused to use it, but after the social pressing I finally felt in this social network. And as a result now is the web site that more frequently I visit, to write about me and to know about my friends and how they are. I visit facebook all the days, just for a while. And well, what make it special? I think that this web site have many functional options, like send messages and write to your friends, and above all you can find for people that you meet many years behind and establish contact again whit them.  

Correction

My favourite piece of technology used to be my notebooks, because I have hours of music, really good music and I love heard different music and my notebook can save a lot music, but it is big and uncomfortable for take it everyplace.

My new favourite machine or piece of technology (not necessary) is my camera because anyfunction  S (Any function) that technology had, it must be comfortable for the owner and very useful, I think. WO (Because I think any function that technology...)

I got my camera 3 month ago and I´m proud about stupid things and jokes that my camera had record.

I use it every week in WW (At home) home and in work´s fields WO (field works)of the career, in fact, is very useful for the evaluations after work´s fields. WO (field works)

I like my camera because is small and light, by the other hand is very useful and it have very functions. Moreover I did wait a long time for I have it.

If I would haven´t my camera, I think I don´t care a lot, because is just a tool; it can be so much useful but it isn´t a aim, it just a method for a big project or something, in fact, if I would haven´t my notebook or other kind of technology I would can continues my life normally, but as long as I can have them and use them, I SM (will)enjoy them.

My Netbook

Hello people, today i'll talk about my favorite piece of technology; my netbook. I thing th

is is an a very efficient tool of work, very practice because the size they have, and you can take it where ever you go without any one notice that you carry with one of this. Is very small like the size of a book, and works like any other computer, except for the CD's lector because the netbook´s don´t have one.

I get it in my first year of university, with the material grant PAE. this grant is given to students month to month, and I pay for my netbook in 12 instalment with this money, that was arround 30.000 $. also my mother give me a little help. I spend all my money in that year on my netbook, and that is the reason because a care it to much.

As i said, i got my netbook in the first year of university, now three years has pass, and i steel have it. I usually use my netbook every day, for a couple of hours, to do my work, or just chating and listen to music.

I like very much because with it i comunicate with my friends and listen a lot of music. Also can do all of my works here, in any place of my house, include in bed. basically It's very comfortable.

I dont´t thing i will die if i haven´t it, but many things would became more difficult, especially to do my work, but i'm sure that i can acusstomed to be without it.

Concert El Abrazo

Hello people! i hope you are well. To day i'm going to talk about the massive concert El Abrazo. This concert brought together many musical groups from Chile and Argentina, that's it because was called el Abrazo that means in english "hug". I were there with my girl friend Daniela, and two classmates Palomita Ruiz and Natalia Orellana. The idea of this concert was gather together the bands from this two neighbors countrys and play music in two different scenarios, to change from one band to another. Many bands played in the concert, like The Bunkers, Babasonicos, Chancho en piedra, Los tres, etc. also there was solist artists like Fito Paez and Joe Vasconcellos.  it was a very exiting expirence, because many peolple was there, arround 50.000 espectators. The artist who more i waited was Joe vasconcellos, because his music like me a lot, and people dance with his music, my favorite song from him is Huellas, i enjoy very much when he plaeyed that song. The last grupo that we wait, was Los tres, and they played at the nigthfall. This moment was very good, and i have a very good time, because it started to rain, and all was dark, i espect the worse, but the show followed. After Los tres played, me and my girl friend left the concert and went to my home.

Vichuquen Lake

Hello everyone!, well the place on which i'll talk about is theVichuquen lake. This lake is located at the Libertador O'higgins region, near to the cost in the coastal range. I went there with my family and girlfriend for a week, and we had a very goodtime. This is a very beatiful lake surrounded of hills and a great forest that cober all the place. When we were driving to the lake there was a dirt road very difficutl, because this was not marked whit no any sign the can show us how to go there, but fortunately we got there with out many problems. Once we were there, we was very surprised with the landscape, because it was beatiful, and the camping zone was perfect because every site had an exit to the lake with a private dock. this camping was very big, and had many activities in the day, like go to walk arround the forest with a guide and go canoeing, the last we did many times with my girlfriend every day, it´s a very good exercise.

As it is very difficult to get there, there was not  many people at the camping, so it´s a very quite place to be with the nature in pace, you can go to swiming to the lake and sleep peacefully at nigths. The people who goes there is very quite and respectful, so don´t cause any problems. In brief, Vichuquen it's a perfect place to be relaxed and rest of the city lifestyle.

About my Self

I'm a simple person who study geography, and creates blogs by order of my english teacher. I have 20 years old, and i do some activities like practice martial arts, specifically Kung Fu, play the guitar (just a little) and go out with my girlfriend, all these when i have free time.

I study geography because its a career that create consciousness about the environment, and i want to specialize focus in the tourism.
